Peat-bog Jezerní slať

A peat-bog covering an area of 34 ha along the road running from Kvilda to horská Kvilda. It lies at a height of 1050 to 1075 metres in the Šumavské Pláně area and is covered with island of Swiss mountain pines. The spruce, the downy birch, various types of peat-bog plants and cotton-grass grow on the edges of the peat-bog. A round timber path running from the observation tower affords access to the peat-bog.
